Annual Fishing Derby
Early morning May 14th a group of Lions set up at Shovelshop Pond at the Governor Oliver Ames Estate for our annual Fishing Derby.
Kids and parents alike enjoyed hours of free fishing including fishing gear, bait, hot dogs, soda, and prizes!
The pond was full of perch, crappies, sunfish and more! Michael Ward caught a fifteen inch pickerel!
Trophies were awarded for biggest catch, first catch, most fish, and more!
A special shout out to Sarah Greenspan who caught her very first fish that day with her dad!
Lots of Lions help out to make this fun free family fishing day happen! But a special thanks to Henry Narsasian, Ed Hands, David Mudd, Jim Howarth and Ray Morrell on the grill for continuing this great tradition!
