ARC Executive Director Dean Rizzo and IPP Andrew Parker at a Lions Club meeting last October
The Easton Lions Club is a proud sponsor of many organizations. Our relationship with The Arc of Greater Brockton is something we take great pride in. ARC works in partnership with, and for, the community to provide advocacy, information, and direct services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and autism spectrum disorder.
Their services provide choice and empowerment while supporting individuals as they strive to realize their personal goals. They promote independence, respect, and dignity. They fulfill this mission by advocating on a local, state and national level for the rights and general welfare of children, adults and their families
The Arc of Greater Brockton provides services to the towns of Abington, Avon, Bridgewater, Brockton, E. Bridgewater, Easton, Holbrook, Rockland, Stoughton, W. Bridgewater, and Whitman.
The Easton Lions Club is proud to be a GOLD sponsor of The Arc of Greater Brockton
Another organization that the Easton Lions Club proudly supports is the Old Colony YMCA. Back at their 5th Annual Easton Gala in June, a tableful of Lions joined many others at the Easton Country Club to help make a difference in the lives of the kids and families they serve. Proceeds from the Gala supported the Easton YMCA Annual Campaign, which directly benefits children and families in the community. The Gala featured the Y’s good work; offered unique auction items; and provided opportunities to learn more about how the Y supports the community in truly astonishing ways.
The Lions were touched at Executive Director (and Easton Lions Club member,) Darcy Paiva’s moving tribute to Avery Lee Williams and his contributions to the Y, the Easton Lions Club, the Jaycees and the town of Easton.
Please support the Old Colony YMCA this Sunday, September 25 at their…
43rd Annual Harvest Road Race
All event proceeds provide critical funds to support the Easton YMCA’s Annual Campaign.
The funds raised have allowed children to receive scholarships and financial assistance to attend Y Summer camp and child care programming; provided Easton elementary school students with critical WaterWise drowning prevention programming at no cost; and supported adults battling a cancer diagnosis through the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program.
Runners will participate in either the 5K run/walk or 10K run, which will both start and finish at the Easton YMCA. The event concludes with a post-race party and awards ceremony.
At Old Colony YMCA, strengthening community is our cause.
