The Ed Hands Community Garden

Easton Lion Ed Hands was recently honored when local gardeners erected a sign declaring the Ed Hands Community Garden at Wheaton Farms.  The Garden is located by the Wheaton Farm parking lot on Bay Road just south of the junction with Prospect Street.  Ed has been a mainstay at the facility, digging post holes, working a plot (or two), and helping to keep area gardeners active, interested, and invested in community gardening.

Ed has been a long-time member of the Easton Grange, the Easton Agricultural Committee, and the community gardens.  One local gardener said ‘this honor is well deserved, and has been in the works for awhile.  One person painted the sign, another set the posts and hung it – making this a true community garden honor.’

Residents interested in working a plot are encouraged to complete an application and return it to the Wheaton Farm Community Gardens.

Congratulations, Ed Hands!
