On Wed. July 31st we (The Easton Lions Club) hosted the Lions Club fundraising for the MLERF (MA Lions Eye Research Foundation) at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant located at the Westgate Mall. It was a well attended evening for dinner diners! $830 was collected by the restaurant that was dedicated towards the fundraiser which brought $83 to the MLERF fundraiser.
Lions Ken L., Stan B., Lynn K., and I assisted at the information table set up in the foyer. We had a few Raffle Baskets and they generated $258 towards our cause. We were pleased to see many other Lions members come in and have dinner to support the cause.
Ken L. also was selling gift cards to the Texas Roadhouse that were in support of the MLERF. After selling all the cards he had, $132.50 was given back to us for our efforts.
The total combined funds raised for this project night was $473.50 – job well done guys!
There is one last fundraiser night scheduled for Wed. Oct. 30th at the Texas Roadhouse at the Westgate Mall.
