March 9, 2022 Meeting Highlights

Board of Directors Meeting

The Easton Lions Club met on March 9, 2022, for its first Wednesday of the month meeting. After a successful Board of Directors meeting the Club meeting began with the traditional 5-point opening and a traditional Irish feast also known as “boiled dinner.” The corned beef and cabbage served up by Arlene Keach’s Food Committee came from Not Just Thaboule, proving that they certainly can make more than just thaboule!

Dan Guerin gave a run down of the ELLI training from the previous weekend that was attended by fellow Lions Claire & Jim Abate, Rob Goodrich, Michelle McGee, and Nancy Sullivan. Good news: they all graduated!

In Club President Andrew Parker’s follow-up to the meeting he thanked Pratima Penumarthy who made a presentation on Volunteering for Seniors, started in July 2021.  Their next fundraising event is on May 8th, Mother’s Day, at the Medway High School Auditorium.  Click the image for more details.

Our second speaker for the evening was Doctor David “Doc” Mudd who presented a heart-felt and searing look at being a doctor during COVID. President Parker has leaned heavily on Doc for guidance on how we should operate during the pandemic. He is a valuable asset to the Club, and a true community leader.
