Fishing Derby Day

The Easton Lions annual Fishing Derby returned to Shovelshop Pond on Saturday, May 8.  A great time was had by all.  Henry Narsasian, Jim Howarth, Rob Goodrich and Pattie Somers kept the hooks baited and rods in the hands of the kids who fished from 8:00 – 11:00 am. Ed Hands was the official keeper of the tape, measuring the catch and release bass, perch, sunfish, pickerel and crappie who inadvertently helped make the day a success.  Ray Morrell, Joyce Tardito and Marion Wingfield kept the hot dogs and other food flowing, and Doc Mudd was everywhere, baiting hooks, casting lines, and hosting the award ceremony.

Special thanks to ECAT who filmed the event.
