Supporting Community Needs

EASTON LIONS VOTE TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY NEEDS – REQUESTS

In addition to the many ways we serve our community (e.g., the Annual Holiday Festival, Yardley-Wood Rink, Eye Glasses, and other), our Club works hard to raise funds to support community needs. Requests for funding support go first to the Fund Screening Committee for review and recommendation to the Board of Directors. Once approved by the Board of Directors, they are brought to the full membership present at a regular meeting. As a Club, we voted to support a number of requests from our community at our meeting of September18, 2014, as follows:

  • District 33S Canal Walk – Journey for Sight
  • Southeastern Regional Technical High School, Athletics Program Ad
  • Health Imperatives, “Purple Purse Campaign” to support Penelope’s House,
  • HUGS II, 16th Annual Walk
  • Boy Scouts Troop 93 – Camperships
  • OAHS Football Boosters – contribution toward new JV and V Football Uniforms.

The Lions Motto:  “WE SERVE”
