I wanted to get the word out about our Skate Swap this weekend and to have everyone start thinking about getting donation items for our 30th Annual Charity Auction in March. Check out the details and contacts below.
Yardley Wood Rink Skate Swap & Sale on Saturday, January 23, from 9am to 2pm
The Yardley Wood Rink is finally frozen thick after this cold spell. This Saturday our Club will be holding the annual Skate Swap and Sale at the Rink. We do need a few folks for an hour or two from 9-2 to lend a hand. Primarily to man the tables and help folks find or try on skates and just to provide a friendly face for folks to chat with. It should be a lot of fun and the snow will not be coming until later in the day! Even if you cannot be there, please help spread the word about the Swap. Solicitations for the Charity Auction in March
This year our 30th annual Charity Auction is scheduled for Sunday March 13th at the High School. Our Auction website is up with preliminary information and the info about the 1998 BMW donated by Lion Mark Tuniewicz & Kate Mensch. The Auction website address is www.eastonlions.org/auction and www.eastonlionsauction.org; both go to the same landing page.
In order to make this a success we will need EVERY member to help with getting items to auction. You can get a jump on this by contacting donors from last year and finding new ones! Have them fill out our online form, www.eastonlions.org/auction/forms or if you have a copy of last year’s form, that can be used too. Solicitation forms will be sent to members soon.
