We began our 85th year in full-stride holding our annual Golf Tournament at the Easton Country Club on September 26th and hosting the annual Senior Cook-out at the COA on October 4th. In addition to our annual events, we’ve added several new members. Since August, the Lions Board of Directors voted in twelve new members from the Easton Community in to the Easton Lions. The Lions are proud to announce and welcome the new memberships of Diana Richard in August, Ian Hobkirk in September, and 10 in October, Jim Abate, Debi Brackett, Bethany Fossella, Ron Handverger, Kathryn Kozak, Joe Kwiatkowski, Lori Maver, Andrew Parker, John Varella, and Lorri Ventura.
Our club gives members an opportunity to advance worthy causes, serve with friends, and become leaders in the community. This club means a lot to our Lions, but it means so much more to the people we serve. In that spirit, Matthew Cioffi, club president has recognized four Lions for their service as Easton’s Lions of the Month. - In August two Lions, Cathy Ferrone and Greg Murphy were recognized for their support of the Easton Lions Thrift Store and the creation of new signage to let folks know we are open and have 3 floors open to the public.
- In September, Michael Pietrowski was recognized for his work with Stonehill College and the Auction Committee to find a new home for our club’s 31st Annual Charity Auction to be held March 5th, 2017.
- And for October, George Mussari was awarded Lion of the Month for his 12+ years of service with the Lions Eyemobile crew at all our events.
