Multi-District 33

In the past couple of months MD33 has been busy at work wrapping up and getting ready for Lionistic year 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 respectively.

In March, District 33S held its Cabinet Advisory meeting in Wareham and President Andrew Parker, Secretary Nancy Sullivan, and Marketing Communication Chair, Michelle McGee were in attendance.

Clubs from 33S shared their upcoming events and President Parker informed the crowd of the exciting things the Easton Lions Club has planned.

33S reported a successful year thus far:

  • MLERF was already $287,000 into their $1,650,105 goal back in November
  • The Eyeglasses Recycling Committee has (with the help of some of our very own Leos) processed and sent over 120,000 pairs of eyeglasses to Africa, Peru, and South America

State Convention

Just a few weeks ago, Multi-District 33 held its first state convention since 2020 at the Sea Crest on Cape Cod.

Other Clubs

Last week Sheri Anderson and Michelle McGee attended the the Annual Chicken Lickin’ Twinning as representation for the Easton Club.  The chicken was delicious, the company was wonderful but the highlight of the evening really was the presentation by Gregory Donnelly, President and CEO of The Carroll Center for the Blind.  The Carroll Center has an amazing story and does even more amazing things for blind citizens of Massachusetts of all ages.  Please check out The Carroll Center for the Blind and ask Sheri or Michelle how you can help them fulfill the leading cause of the Lions.
