The Easton Lions started the Fishing Derby in May 2017 and have held it each year Around the first Saturday in May.  It all depends on the weather!

The Lions will provide poles and bait for anyone who does not have them.  Or bring your own if you have them. Prizes for longest and most fish caught.  We’ll also have chips and soda to keep our fishers happy!

We gather at the Governor Ames Estate along Shovelshop Pond. The Derby runs from 8:00-11:00 AM and is free for kids 12 and under. This is an annual catch-and-release event, so the fish will; grow and be back for another date!
