Lion Megan Ferguson is a member of the Easton Taxation Aid Committee. The Committee is operating a program that allows local taxpayers to donate to a fund that will offer assistance to filers in need.
According to Megan, “people in need have to meet certain criteria to qualify, but first we need to build the fund. This could be helpful to those struggling to pay taxes.”
Donations will go toward helping low-income senior and disabled citizens pay some of their real estate taxes.
