It is going to get busy for the Lions of District 33S in the coming months. There is always the monthly eyeglass cleaning that takes place at the Raynham Lions Club building, the 3rd Cabinet Advisory meeting, and the State Convention.

Eyeglass Cleaning

There are two upcoming cleaning sessions:
March 5th and March 19th.

Fake eyeglasses with nose and mustache
Both days will have two sessions, 1:00-3:00 pm and 6:30 to 9:00 pm. This is a good way to meet other Lions and help out a good cause. If interested in going please let me know and I will pass the information on to Nate Helgerson, Eyeglass Recycling Chair. If you do not want to travel to Raynham, we could always host a cleaning here. Something to think about.

State Convention

The state convention will be held on April 27-29 at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield. The registration cost is $5.00 for all who attend and at the business meeting on Sunday morning we will be voting in the new District officers for the 2018-2019 Lions year.

If you would like the opportunity to meet the Lions International 1st VP she will be the guest speaker at Saturday night’s banquet. Yes, I said she, Gudrun Yngvadottir of Iceland will be the first woman president of the Lions. I have the forms if you are interested in attending the state convention.

I will be looking for a slate of voting delegates that I need to submit to the CST in April. We as a club will have an estimated 16 delegates eligible to vote.
