Pratima Penumarthy, a member of the Easton Lions, was recently featured on WICKEDLOCAL.com for continuing to run a very successful Facebook support group aimed at caregivers of aged parents. The group, Caring for Aging Parents (Indian American way) was started in 2019 and currently has over 600 members.
The site is open to all caregivers, and aimed at Indian Americans who may not be comfortable joining other groups.
“The Indian culture on the whole values older family members being cared for by their children,” Pratima told WICKEDLOCAL.com. The support group is “a resource group. It gives a lot of peace and a lot of happiness.”

Congratulations, Pratima!
