District 33-S Presidents Logo 2017-2018 Deb Grassi-Together we willHope you all had a good holiday and are looking forward to a New Year full of Lions adventures. Speaking of Lions adventures, the District 33-S Mid-Winter Conference takes place January 5-7 at the 1620 Hotel in Plymouth (formerly the Radisson) at 180 Water Street.  We’re hosting a sales table on Saturday for the first time to help raise money for our Club Administrative Fund.

We had a table at the State convention in the spring and raised almost $400.00 and learned a few things along the way.  So, if you received gift cards for Christmas you’ll not use or bought one and decided that it wasn’t worth giving to that ungrateful relative, we will take it. We plan to have 5 or 6 baskets to raffle off and this, in turn, will help keep our Administrative Fund flush.

We’d love to have you join us!  Come for the day or only a couple hours, have some fun, get some fundraiser ideas, and enjoy some good old-fashion Lion comradery.  For $5.00, yes, only $5.00 for the day, you can attend several educational seminars, learn about the Eyemobile Spot Camera, attend the business meeting, as well as a special events.  Listen in on the District’s high school finalists in the Youth Speech Competition.   This year’s topic is, “What is the impact of volunteerism?”, inspired by Lions Clubs International 100th Anniversary celebration.

Let either Pattie Somers, president@test-easton-lions-34cc11.ingress-erytho.easywp.com, or myself, fozzie215@yahoo.com, know if you would like to donate something for the baskets or if you plan to attend. One last thing if you want a good laugh stick around on Saturday and check out the Belly Flop contest!
